Easter in Pink

The second dress I did for Easter was also beautiful.  For this dress, I used Children’s Corner Lee pattern.

The fabric I chose was light pink satin batiste from the Smocking Bird and I decided to use embroidered insertion for the band in the skirt with matching lace on each side.

The embroidered edging was added to the bottom.

For the yoke, I copied the band on the skirt.

Make sure you stay stitch around the neck to prevent the lace from stretching.  I didn’t do the best job of that.  For the sleeves, I did beading with a pale pink ribbon and a lace edge that matched the insertion.

Here is the completed dress front.

And back.

My cousin’s daughter was the recipient of the dress and loved it.  It is always satisfying when your creations are loved!

I would love to see any outfits you have made!
