Another summer project that was finally finished today is a daygown for a friend that needed a baby gift for a girl. Originally, I started this blog when I was working on Sweet Serenity by Wendy Schoen. It was such a daunting challenge at the time that I had to document it. For this next project I thought why not try it again. This time I left off the sleeping kittens because time was important and I didn’t know how the parents felt about kittens. The pattern was much less daunting and this time I used tatting and attached it by hand. It is a beautiful pattern and the step by step directions are in the book Mastering Shadow Work Embroidery by Wendy Schoen. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn shadow work embroidery.
